Frequently Asked Questions
How do I place an order?
You can place an order online, by calling me on 0417 213 121, using the contact form, or emailing order@makispatisserie.com.
As I make everything to order, I don’t have a shopfront, accept walk-ins or have ready-made cakes available.
What is the cut-off time for ordering a cake?
Because each cake is made from scratch, I prefer 2–3 days’ notice. If you need a cake sooner, please contact me with your request and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
Can I request customisations or dietary modifications?
I’ll try my best to accommodate customisations and dietary modifications whenever possible. Traditional Japanese cake recipes, including light sponges, Uji matcha creams and chestnut pastes, rely on precise ratios, so not every change is possible. Please get in touch so we can discuss your request before you order.
How long does the cake keep fresh?
My cakes use real, fresh pure cream with no artificial stabilisers or preservatives. They’re best enjoyed on the day of pickup, while the sponge is at its fluffiest. If properly refrigerated, they can be kept for up to two days with the exception of my chestnut cakes which is best eaten within a day.
How do I safely transport my cake?
Fresh cream cakes are delicate and can slide easily. Always transport your cake box on a completely flat surface. The passenger-side floor of a cool, air-conditioned car is the safest spot, rather than a seat or lap.
Drive carefully around corners and place the cake straight into a refrigerator as soon as you arrive at your destination.
Where do I pick up my cake?
Collection is from 139 Parramatta Road, Auburn NSW 2144. Street parking is available along Melton Street South or Station Road, just around the corner.
Do you offer cake delivery across Sydney?

Deliveries take place Tuesday–Friday, 10 am–2 pm, and Saturday–Sunday, 3 pm–5:30 pm. We’re closed on Mondays and don’t offer pickups or deliveries that day.
